You can help
The PWI sections rely on volunteers. Each section is run by a small committee and the Sections welcome anyone who would like to be more involved. Its a great way to meet more people and doesn't take up a lot of time. If you are interested please contact either the Section Secretary or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Local PWI sections organise technical seminars in their regions. They are always looking for people to help with either the planning and/or execution of the seminars. If you would be interested in helping please contact email@example.com and Kate will pass on your details to the relevant people.
We are always looking for high quality articles for The Journal. These should be of a technical nature but we are also interested to receive articles on the following areas:
- Rail projects with an emphasis on infrastructure engineering
- Overseas projects and engineering practices
- Light Rail
- Heritage Rail
All articles published qualify for CPD and will be entered into our annual competition.
Alternatively if you hear a good paper why not see if the presenter would be interested in publishing in the Journal. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
In past years the PWI has run a summer convention. This is primarily a social event though normally with a 'railway' theme and takes place over a long weekend. If you would like to be involved with organising future social events please contact email@example.com
