Cost Effective Minimum Clearance Electrification: Containing civil engineering costs in traction de-carbonisation

Reducing civil engineering costs and the number of large scale interventions at bridges and tunnels is vital to the industry’s programme of traction de-carbonisation. This conference will discuss the technical solutions and applications of risk based approaches to electrical and mechanical clearances, which enhances the business case for electrification and drives the industry further towards Net Zero. Welcoming leaders in their field, this conference is an essential prelude to “Electrification: Delivering the business case” taking place in Glasgow in April 2022.

Commencing with a Keynote address from Andrew Haines, CEO Network Rail, we will welcome speakers:

    • Peter Dearman, PWI Deputy President
    • Richard Stainton, Electrification Technical Expert, Network Rail
    • Dr David Johnson, Technical Director, DGauge
    • Professor Andrew McNaughton, Internationally recognised advisor to governments and railway administrations

This conference will take place online via the GoToWebinar platform and will run from 13:30 – 16:30.

Registration is free for PWI members and non-members. Spaces are limited and so to request your space, please register here or by clicking the link below.
