The IVES slab track system represents the latest advancement in ballastless track construction. It combines decades of practical track construction expertise, resulting in a system that is suitable for different railway track categories ranging from urban transit to heavy haul. Its intelligent design allows for easy modifications and precise adjustments, offering a high-fixity alternative to traditional ballasted track. IVES is especially useful for construction sites where track possessions have to be kept short, e.g. for electrification schemes. The talk will cover the system design and present different national and international real-world experiences from projects in Europe, UK and Australia.
