Foxfield Light Railway
The Foxfield Light Railway is a heritage railway in Blythe Bridge, Staffordshire, UK. The line is a former colliery railway which linked the Foxfield Colliery at Dilhorne to the Stoke–Derby main line at Blythe Bridge. Currently passenger trains run over 2¼ miles of track from Caverswall Road to Dilhorne Park. On special events freight trains also run to Foxfield Colliery which features inclines as steep as 1 in 19.
The line was built to a very light standard of construction and features many sharp curves and steep gradients, presenting almost unique challenges in P Way engineering on a heritage line. We are always looking for more volunteers to join our P Way team, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
