The maintenance of the East Lancashire Railway’s infrastructure is a safety critical function ensuring all operational aspects of running trains are safe at all times.
The Infrastructure Director, working with Signalling and Permanent Way Heads of Service, is responsible for this crucial infrastructure. Whilst effective oversight in the role will be key to delivering on the ELR’s business objectives, the post holder will be also required to maintain a relationship with the Chairman, General Manager and those ‘front-line’ colleagues that promote autonomy and entrustment of authority to successfully deliver the day-to-day management of this new department.
