Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Engineering Technicians have a practical understanding of engineering skills and techniques as well as the ability to solve engineering problems. They are the people who turn engineering ideas into reality, playing a key, hands-on role in all aspects of the industry.
Our corporate members, including Network Rail and London Underground, have stressed on many occasions the pressing need within the industry for Engineering Technicians as this level is increasingly becoming the minimum standard required for all those working in the rail infrastructure discipline.
EngTech is just the first step in the professional registration journey, laying solid foundations for Incorporated and Chartered applications in due course.
