PWI member Apprentice Rail Engineer’s Award winning streak stays on track

A young Engineering Apprentice from York has achieved a fourth accolade this year, winning one of the rail industry’s most coveted awards. 

The ‘Rail Staff’ Apprentice of the Year title has been presented to Rebecca Munro, who is a Technician Permanent Way Engineer at Mott MacDonald in York, at a ceremony at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in front of over 1,000 guests. Each year the PWI London Section run the ‘Techs Factor’, which gives apprentices and young engineers, (26 years old and under), the opportunity to make a short presentation on a railway-related task or project which they have been involved in. Presenters are welcome from across the railway industry, however individual presentations may be given by a maximum of two people.
